In two weeks time we say goodbye to Son Number 2, who is heading to the UK on his OE.
He will be looking for work, and trying to earn some money before we meet again - in Paris.
Our Camino journey starts there, in a French spring, at the end of March next year, 2018. We have a few days organised before heading down to St Jean Pied de Port for our big adventure.
He's nervous but I'm excited. Though I must admit saying goodbye has brought back a torrential flood of memories of my own visits and subsequent life in the UK. I hope he will be happy and make the most of everything.
